The Next Chapter: Fitness Finds by Brooke
You may have noticed that a few things have changed around here. So let’s break it all down.
THE REBRAND: WHY
MY CONTENT COVERS MORE THAN THE MAIN LINE
For a long time, my name has been closely tied to the Main Line — and for good reason. When I first started sharing my experiences, recommendations and perspective, much of my coverage centered around the Main Line community.
But over time, something became clear: what I’m doing has grown far beyond one neighborhood.
So, I’m officially dropping the “Main Line” from my name and stepping into a new chapter—one that better reflects where my content is headed. I’ll still be including the Main Line, but my experiences extend beyond the Main Line and so does this blog and my content.
But this isn’t just a name change. It’s a broader vision for what wellness means to this community.
Along those same lines…
WELLNESS IS MORE THAN FITNESS
Fitness will always be a huge part of my life and my content. Movement, exercise and finding ways to stay active are things I genuinely love and will continue to share. But wellness doesn’t stop when the workout ends.
For me, taking care of yourself encompasses so much more: health, nutrition, self-care, beauty, recovery, mental well-being and the little things that make you feel your best. That’s the direction I want to take.
You’ll still find fitness content here and “Fitness Finds” is still my name because that’s how you all know me. But now you’ll also see more conversations and recommendations around self-care, health-related topics, beauty, wellness experiences and the many ways we can invest in ourselves.
Ultimately, this rebrand is about looking at health and wellness as a whole lifestyle, rather than something that can be measured by how many workouts you fit into a week.
WHY NOW
There’s a very personal reason behind this rebrand: I’m in a different season of life and so are a lot of you. For so many years, my kids were little and needed so much of me physically and emotionally. Like so many moms, I became very good at squeezing everything in—work, family, activities, appointments, meals and whatever else needed to get done.
Fitness was important to me throughout those years, but often it was about simply “fitting in fitness.” Finding a half an hour. Getting the workout done. Squeezing movement into the schedule before moving onto the next thing. Because busy moms don’t have the time to figure out what works. They have to just go!
Now, my kids are older and require less of me physically. And while I’m certainly not less of a mom, and believe me, I’m still very busy shuffling them to activities after school and helping my oldest apply to college right now, I have something I didn’t have in quite the same way before: more time and more space to pour back into myself. And so do most of you!
That shift has changed the way I think about health and wellness. I have more resources to invest in myself, more time to learn about my health, and more freedom to explore what it really means to live a well-rounded, healthy life. I’m interested in more than just working out and checking a box. I want to understand my health, prioritize self-care, discover new ways to feel my best and make the most of this stage of life.
I’m entering middle age with a different perspective — and I want to approach it intentionally. I want to live the very best, healthiest, happiest life I possibly can in this chapter. And I know I’m not alone in that.
That’s really what this rebrand is about. Because if I learned anything over the past five years, it’s that you’re never too old to change course, to reinvent yourself, to start over or to try something new.
A FEW NEW THINGS AROUND HERE THAT YOU’LL NOTICE
Introducing “By Brooke”
One of the things I’m most excited to introduce is a new monthly series called “By Brooke.” These are more opinion-driven pieces where I share my personal favorites within a particular category. Because let’s be honest, over the past five years, I’ve done a lot of wellness services and experiences. And of course, I have opinions and I’m ready to share them!
Think of “By Brooke” as the recommendations you’d get if we were sitting together and you asked me, “Okay, but where should I actually go?” You’ll want to use these articles as guides for the next time you want to book a massage, find a menopausal specialist or take a Pilates class.
The goal is simple: real recommendations from my personal experience and perspective.
My New Substack
I’ve also launched a Substack, which will give me even more room to share beyond a 60-second reel. I write so many wellness-related articles that it makes sense that I join an articles-driven social media platform. I’m still figuring things out over there, but I’d love for you to subscribe and come along with me. It’s free for you to subscribe to @FitnessFindsbyBrooke right now.
I’ll be covering my favorites across fitness, nutrition, self-care, and fashion every month, while also highlighting wellness events and experiences worth knowing about.
Consider it a monthly edit of the things I’m doing — places to try, products to know, events to attend and ideas worth incorporating into your own routine.
More Wellness Writing To Come
Another exciting part of this next chapter is that I’m now a contributing writer for Main Line Today and Philadelphia Magazine, two publications I’ve long admired. I’ll be sharing wellness-focused articles and contributing my perspective on the topics that have become such an important part of my life and work. It’s an opportunity I’m incredibly grateful for, and I can’t wait to share those pieces with you.
SO, WHAT’S NEXT?
At its core, this rebrand is about making room to grow—both professionally and personally. My coverage may have started on the Main Line, but my interests don’t stop at its borders. And my definition of wellness has never been limited to fitness.
This next chapter will be about feeling good, living well, taking care of yourself, and discovering the places, products, services and experiences that make life a little better.
There will still be workouts. There will still be fitness. But there will also be massages, beauty, nutrition, recovery, self-care, fashion, health, local wellness events, and plenty of things I simply can’t wait to tell you about.
And perhaps most importantly, I’ll be sharing this journey from the perspective of a woman in midlife who is learning how to take care of herself again.
Thank you for being here as Fitness Finds evolves! I’m excited to take you along for the next chapter—and to continue sharing what wellness looks like, in real life, By Brooke.
