The Main Line Just Got Some Goodness
You may have heard that the Jersey Shore’s juice and smoothie spot, Goodness Bowls, just opened in Villanova so the rest of us can get to experience their tasty treats.
June Studio Tour Week 4
Week 4 of my June studio tour is over and the month is almost out. This week brought some personal challenges, like an aching body, several sick kids and cancelled classes, which caused for some scheduling adjustments. But I managed to get it in and loved every second of visiting new places and meeting new people. Check out where I went this week 4!
June Studio Tour Week 3
Regardless of how my body feels today, I just love doing this studio tour in June. I have met so many awesome people and tried so many cool new workouts that I hope to incorporate into my regular routine. So going for 30 days straight (and having my family deal with me running out on them every day and racing home to edit my video clips so I can share the workout with you guys right away) is totally worth it! So here is a recap of what I did on Week 3. Oh, it was a good one!
June Studio Tour Week 2
This week I got to go from good stretchy Pilates class to peaceful Yin yoga to a satisfying stretch class to healing Reiki. By Friday, I was just floating on into the weekend in the best state of mind and body. So here is how Week 2 of my June studio tour looked.
June Studio Tour Week 1
June is a special month over here on FFML. The month of June is when I visit a different studio and do a different workout EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. And yep, I share it all as I go along. Here is a recap of Week 1.

You Don’t Need to Be a Tourist to Frequent Valley Forge National Historical Park
One of my all time favorite places to run is at Valley Forge National Historical Park. This park is so rich in history and abundant in activity space that the task to blog about it just seemed too great to me for so long. But it has come to my attention that many Main Line residents have never even been to this park or don’t take advantage of the fact that it’s in our backyard! The goal of this post is to make the park less overwhelming and more accessible so that more people will frequent this stunning and fascinating national treasure more regularly.

Why I Decided to Use a Running Coach and Why I am Using Her Again
My goal this year is to run my first full marathon. I am not going for speed. I just want to be able to do it! Running a full marathon is a desire that has always been there for me, but it was a goal that I did not think was attainable. That is until I worked with a running coach.

You (yes, I am talking to YOU) Can Wear Biker Shorts… Plus, Studio to Street Looks for Summer
I recognize that some trends are not for everyone but I am writing this post to tell you all that biker shorts are not just for those cute little 20 somethings! With a few adjustments and styling tips, biker shorts are for everyone of all shapes, sizes AND AGES.
Ladies, Get a Lymphatic Drainage Massage for Mother’s Day This Year
This Mother’s Day, I am giving you something that you can and should treat yourself to with a focus on taking charge of your own health and wellness. Getting a lympathic drainage massage has been on my to-do list for some time now. So for you all, I will go the distance— I got not one, but two, lymphatic drainage massages to prepare for this post.

Another Year, Another Set of Running Sneaks for Me!
Last April, I visited The Running Place in Newtown Square to shop for my spring running shoe upgrade. I was so impressed by the knowledgeable people that worked there that I had to go back this year for my new running sneaks. For my article this year, I want to focus on the various kinds of running sneakers. I also want to help you guys know what and how to purchase running sneakers whether you walk, run or race.

The Power of She Was in Full Effect at Athleta Last Week
We had a little fashion show last week at the Athleta in Bryn Mawr. It was the biggest in-store event since Covid. I decided to have local fitness professionals- instructors and studio owners- model the clothes so that I could also highlight the work they do. I wanted to celebrate our local fitness industry so I called on some of my favorite fit pros who I knew would be up for the task!
Instructors Who Inspire
Our fitness professionals give us so much of themselves with each workout. I wanted to celebrate and recognize all of their hard work this month so I asked you guys to share some stories with me; to highlight a professional that motivated you; to let me know about all of the talent we have surrounding us.

We Now Have Our Very Own Sweetgreen in Wayne
If you know me, you know how much I love sweetgreen. I used to drive all the way to Ardmore just for a salad! So I was thrilled when I heard that we were getting a sweetgreen in Wayne. Have you been to the new store yet? It’s open and spacious, with a clean and modern feel inside. There are more tables in this larger store than any other nearby location. So you can sit and stay for a bit without feeling the pressure of waiting diners. In fact, you may find me posted up in there working on my next blog article.

I’ll Gladly Add “Staying Out of the Kitchen” to My Resume (My take on playing Pickleball on the Main Line)
It’s the fastest growing sport in our country and it’s taken me this long to give it a try? I know. I am ashamed. My tennis teacher, Tyler Stroyek, talks about his love for Pickleball at least once during every tennis lesson I take with him. So he finally convinced me to give it a try. Of course, I had to bring some friends along. And it was very easy to find some eager Pickleball newbies, like myself. Our clinic sold out in an hour.

Cute and Stylish Ladies Golf Clothes that are Appropriate for the Golf Course? Challenge Accepted!
Golf clothes can be fun yet challenging. And, I’m always up for a good challenge. Most courses have pretty strict dress codes. While some areas of our country have moved away from such requirements, around here, those dress codes are pretty much still in place. So yeah, it’s a challenge to find cute and functional clothes that meet those requirements. But guess what? We have more options than ever before. Check out some of my favorites for on and off the course!

It’s Been a Year
This month marks the one year anniversary since I launched the blog. It started with just athleisure, expanded into creating a fitness community, and grew into something that supported local small businesses. Fitness Finds on the Main Line (and Beyond) is now a complete healthy lifestyle blog. It’s not just for the fitness enthusiasts. It’s for anyone looking to get some inspiration to get moving or live a healthier life, whatever that looks like for you! I decided to celebrate by taking a look back on the past year.

A Brand We Already Know and Love Brings Us Activewear Now
All the brands are jumping on the activewear train as of late. There is so much variety out there now that it makes my job really fun. Brands we know and love have recently launched new activewear lines. And I was thrilled to learn that one of my favorite sustainable clothing and accessory brands had also jumped on board!
Get Out There (Again), Part 3
My friend, Liz Patterson, is back to help me test out a few more introductory programs in the area. This time, we visited Pure Barre Main Line and The Edge Fitness Clubs to take their “foundations” classes. Learn all about these specialized starter classes.
Get Out There (Again), Part 2
My brave and adventurous buddy Liz, who is looking to leave her home gym and get out there again, has been letting me drag her all over the Main Line to take a bunch of introductory classes. Liz was already pretty well-versed with yoga so I needed to find a newbie for this next program… enter… ME! I enrolled in the Starter Series at Verge Yoga last month. Learn all about this program, as well as where to go to learn how to use the Pilates reformer.
Get Out There (Again), Part 1
Come along with me and my friend, Liz, as we visit various studios on the Main Line to experience their starter programs. First up, Tribe Main Line.
