CorePower Yoga Has Arrived in the Burbs and the First Stop is Ardmore

You may recall that article I wrote for Main Line Today back in December which talked about eleven (well, 12 really because one of the gyms has two locations slated for this year) fitness studios and gyms that were opening along the Main Line in 2026. Among them was CorePower Yoga, a name that carries some weight in the boutique fitness world. But at the time of publication, the exact date and location of this enigmatic suburban CorePower Yoga was still a mystery. Well four months later, that mystery has been resolved and ahead of schedule! Today, I am happy to report that the Ardmore studio of CorePower Yoga, which is the first suburban location in the Philadelphia area, is now open at 169 West Lancaster Avenue.

Heated fitness, once niche, has firmly established itself in the mainstream. For many, the appeal is as much psychological as it is physical. Personally, I love the heat. I love the sweat. It motivates me. It makes me feel empowered, strong… somewhat invincible. And CorePower Yoga has been at the forefront of the heated fitness movement for more than two decades. What started as a single yoga studio in Denver, has grown into one of the largest yoga chains in the country. CorePower Yoga is known for its high energy-approach and signature heated classes.

The Ardmore studio uses infrared heat panels, which generate radiant heat that warms the body directly from the inside out rather than heating the surrounding air. And the benefits are notable: improved circulation, enhanced muscle performance, faster recovery, increased metabolism and stress relief. There is also a practical advantage to using this type of heat. Infrared systems heat more quickly, using less energy overall, which offers a more sustainable approach to keeping the room hot.

Aside from the heat, CorePower Yoga is best known for that hybrid-style yoga class— one that incorporates other types of exercises into a traditional yoga class. Some classes add in small weights for “sculpting”. Other classes include cardio exercises to bring the heart rate up before slowing it down with more traditional yoga poses. And most recently, CorePower has even made strength training a part of their regular class formats. This diversion from traditional yoga classes keeps the workouts exciting, unexpected and allows the instructor to kick it up a notch.

Plus, the high energy vibes are a central part of CorePower Yoga. The rooms are dimly lit and moody with overhead lighting and wall to wall mirrors (which you don’t typically see in a yoga studio). The music is loud, upbeat and modern— again, not what you’d expect to hear in a yoga studio. The focus at CorePower is athleticism, intensity and movement as opposed to the spirituality or deeper philosophy behind yoga that you get at other yoga studios. So I guess you could say that CorePower is yoga for the people that don’t necessarily like yoga. But I think it’s all inclusive for yogis and non-yogis alike. That’s because there really is something for everyone.

CPY offers a range of classes depending on your experience and fitness goals:

CorePower 1 (“C1”) is a great place to start. It includes the fundamental principles and postures of Vinyasa yoga with no added heat. This class delivers on low to medium intensity.

CorePower 2 (“C2”) builds on C1 with more intensity, faster pacing, challenging poses and that signature heat.

YogaSculpt is one of the most popular classes at CorePower. This class takes yoga and blends it with weights and cardio bursts. The energy is high, as is the temperature of the room (although it’s not as hot as C2).

New to the rotation is StrengthX (and what I am super excited about), which is a strength training class using heavier weights and HIIT style exercises mixed in. StrengthX is an intense class, even without the heat so you can really see just how hard you can push yourself.

Hot Power Fusion is a high heat, moderate intensity class that blends yoga, mobility, and strength. Expect deeper stretches and balance work in a heated room that adds an extra challenge while supporting flexibility and recovery.

Quite frankly, I feel confident recommending any of the classes at CorePower Yoga because this place is one of the most consistent studios I’ve come across in all of my travels. And that’s not something I see all the time. At CorePower you’re always going to get a solid workout, regardless of the instructor or the class type. And you can expect to leave the studio feeling restored, calm and strong. I appreciate the packed schedule of classes — check out Ardmore’s schedule. Members can book classes up to two weeks in advance, one of the many perks of membership at CorePower (keep reading for the rest).

The Ardmore studio is aiming to have 30+ instructors so, yes, they are currently hiring. If you’re interested in taking advantage of CorePower’s teacher training programs, now is a great time to apply online.

While none of the 220+ CorePower studios are exactly alike, they are consistent in their amenity offerings and appeal. The design is clean and contemporary, prioritizing both functionality and comfort. The Ardmore studio is approximately 2,550 sq ft and includes two yoga rooms. Both rooms have the capability to host heated or non heated classes. The space also includes two fully stocked bathrooms and two showers, along with convenient free parking directly in front of the studio. There are lockers to hold your belongings. And if you don’t have a yoga mat or need a towel, CorePower’s got you (for a small rental fee). Plus, there is adorable retail provided by brands like FP Movement, Lululemon, Beyond Yoga, Vuori and Manduka.

To celebrate the Ardmore opening, CorePower Yoga has several exciting offers. Now through May 5, get 25% off all access memberships. But for my audience, use code FITNESSFINDS for 20% off the all access membership through the end of May (and that’s for any CorePower studio nationwide)! Membership perks include 15% off all retail, an extra week of booking priority and two monthly buddy passes to bring a friend to sweat with you.

The Ardmore location of CorePower Yoga represents a larger regional expansion for the brand — it’s the first on the Main Line and the third in the greater Philadelphia area, with additional studios already planned for this year and next. Be sure to check out the Grand Opening event happening in Ardmore all weekend long.
