June Studio Tour 2025 Recap and Awards

As a friend recently put it, the June Studio Tour “is basically a dissertation of fitness” — and she’s not wrong. I absolutely love it! Because if you’ve watched my visual recap on Instagram, you know that you get it all in June: strength, weights, boxing, spinning, sculpting, Pilates, Yoga, barre… even tennis this year. It’s a full-spectrum fitness experience packed into 30 days.

The June Studio Tour started in 2021 as a way to check out local gyms and report on their masking policies (remember that era? I’d like to forget it, too). Thankfully, we’ve moved on from that. But the tour stuck—and it's grown into something much bigger now. What began as a logistical workaround became a summer tradition, a personal challenge, and one of my favorite ways to connect with fitness communities across the region.

Every day in June, I try a new workout—and yes, it’s as chaotic as it sounds. By July 1, my car is an avalanche of water bottles, yoga mats, grip socks and protein bar wrappers. But I wouldn’t trade it. Over the past four years, the tour has extended beyond just the Main Line. I now spend the first week on the Main Line before doing a week in Philly, a week down the shore, and I finish the month sweating all over the Philly suburbs. And this year, I threw in some self care each week for my own sanity… and the fact that you guys eat up the self care stuff. I see you, ladies. This June, I did 23 workouts, received 7 self-care/ recovery treatments, visited 25 towns or neighborhoods, checked out 15 new businesses, interviewed 29 studio owners and fit pros (okay, I did forget one), and struck a Warrior 2 on both the Schuylkill River and a South Philly rooftop.

What makes the tour so special isn’t just the workouts—it’s the people. Each studio welcomed me with open arms, and every year I leave June with new friendships and a deeper appreciation for how much heart goes into this industry. You can feel the passion, the hustle and the community. It’s not just about the sweat—it’s about connection.

At the end of each tour, I try to highlight a few standout spots—but honestly, it gets harder every year. The quality, creativity and commitment of the fitness and wellness businesses in and around our city are so inspiring. So here it is: my 2025 June Studio Tour recap and awards. Let’s celebrate the studios, the owners, the instructors and of course, you guys — the people who keep showing up!
