Zella is Nordstrom’s activewear and athleisure brand that is worthy of it’s own post simply because the price is jaw dropping when its on sale. Bra’s are $20. Leggings are in the $30’s. For basic activewear, Zella is your brand.

I’ve been resting up. Hydrating. Carb loading. Updating my Wish List. Training, really … to be fully prepared for the biggest shopping day of the year. Nordstrom Icons got to shop two days ago. But now it’s my turn. The fashion baton has been passed from the big time fashion bloggers to little old me to cover fitness and athleisure. Guess what— there is tons of fitness and athleisure inventory in store and online. And I am going to go through it all with you for the next few weeks so that you are ready to shop when it’s your turn.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, hands down, is the biggest sale of the year. I am so excited to cover it and share all things fitness that are part of the sale. Earlier this week, the sale preview became available to everyone online. Here are my top picks that I will be adding to my cart as soon as I get access to shop the sale.

When I decided to document my re-entry into working out outside of my home gym, I could never have predicted what this experience would mean to me. Yes, I got to see what each studio was doing to safely bring members back. Yes, I got to take a bunch of really awesome classes. But I never imagined all of the incredibly talented people I would meet … All of the new friends I would make along the way… All of the stories of struggle and growth that I would hear… And all of the support that I would gain from followers cheering me along.

It has really been something to see ALL of these businesses that have decided to take fitness outside to make things work during Covid. Some studio owners have recently decided to continue to use these outdoor spaces, while others have returned inside. During my 30-day studio tour in June, I wanted to take as many of these outdoor classes as I could. One, because I love to be outside, especially after the long and cold winter we just had. And two, because I still feel the safest outside.

When I first connected with Liz Dipre, the owner of Aqua Vida, it was because she was the only traveling stand up paddle board person in the area. I had been tasked to plan our club’s pool entertainment and SUP seemed like a good crowd pleaser. But I have come to learn that Aqua Vida is so much more than these cool paddle classes, and I want to share this incredible company with you all.

Next week, I’ll be doing stand up paddle board yoga. This got me thinking that the bathing suits I own are not going to cut it for this class.
