Activewear Brands to Try This Year
In January, I made the short trip to New York City to check out Active Collective, a trade show featuring activewear and athleisure only. I don’t need to tell you the level of my excitement as I entered the showroom that afternoon. When I returned from New York after the show, I reached out to several of the brands that really stood out for me. Most of them were not on my radar before the show. And over the past few months, I have been putting their gorgeous clothes and fashionable accessories to the test — in hot yoga, at everyday living, on a run, and in a trap bar. I am so excited to show you some of my favorite pieces from lesser known, or newer, brands in this space that you should pay attention to.
Sleep is the Simplest Form of Self Care
Sleep was voted the most valued form of self care when I surveyed the group at the beginning of the month. So for the last blog post of this month of self care, I wanted to find the latest and greatest products whose sole purpose is to give us better nights of sleep. And I conducted a different kind of test than what I usually do for this blog: I rested. I chilled. I snuggled up on the couch. I even took a nap. All in the name of research! I really love February.
I’m Adding Modrn Sanctuary to My List of Favorite Places for Self Care Services
During this month of self care, the very first place I called to book was the newly relocated spa in Philadelphia called Modrn Sanctuary. Modrn (no that is not a typo) opened in November, but this innovative spa is not new. Owner, Alexandra Janelli brought her unique healing treatments to Philadelphia when her family moved here from New York City during the pandemic. And I am so grateful that Philadelphians now get to experience all of the enchanting services on the Modrn Sanctuary menu. Check out what I did for my nontraditional spa day at Modrn Sanctuary.
Couples That Move Together Stay Together
When you work out with your romantic partner, it’s been proven to boost your mood and improve your relationship satisfaction. Exercising with your partner builds trust, camaraderie and a bond from a shared experience. So with all of these benefits, let’s talk about a few places in the area where you can get a special workout or experience with your partner during this season of love, and beyond.
30 Different Virtual Platforms in 30 Days
I just completed my 30 day virtual studio tour. Yep, I did a different virtual workout platform every single day in January, starting on January 2. Personally, I got so much out of each workout that I did. With the exception of the first week, every platform was completely new for me. This tour forced me to try workouts that I had heard about, or have been watching, or learned about from this community. So what were my favorites and am I continuing any programs now that the month is over?
How My Owl Venice Cleanse Went
It’s little over a week since I finished the Owl Venice Reset and I am still trying to hold onto the post cleanse feeling. So yeah it went well. In fact, I am looking forward to the next time I can do the 4-Day Reset… and I can’t believe I am actually writing that. Read all about my experience with the 4-day Reset from Owl Venice.

Raise your hand- or raquet- if you are ready for Club & Court’s latest collection! My favorite local tennis clothing brand released several new styles, as well as new colors for some of their best sellers earlier this week. And me and my girls are absolutely loving what C&C is giving us yet again!
The Stars Are Aligned for You to Be the Best You in 2023
Why not have a little fun this year! Let’s base our 2023 goals on something totally cosmic. Using the zodiac signs as a guide, I am offering you suggestions for the new year in the areas of exercise, wellness and self-care. I used your sun sign’s core personality traits, preferences, guiding elements, your sense of self, and the colors that best fit your vibe, to help you find the best you this year. And of course, I included fresh new gear so you will look and feel on point while achieving those goals.
Workouts to Try in 2023: Part 2
It should come as no surprise that boxing is my second pick for workouts to try in the new year because you guys have seen me boxing on IG this fall with Main Line Boxing owner, Sean Green. Learn all about the workout that brings out your “inner badass.” (as quoted by my friend who introduced me to Sean).
Workouts to Try in 2023: Part 1
Exercise does not have to be a chore, and it certainly should not be a punishment. Exercising should not only make you feel good after you are done, but also while you are doing it. And, if that’s not the case, it’s time to ditch your current workout and go find another one more suited for you. That’s why I love this annual spotlight of the workouts that I am currently loving and hoping to do more of in the new year. Check out the first workout that I am recommending for you to try in 2023!
I Need The Juice Philly in My Life Right About Now
It’s only the first full week of December and I am already feeling it. You know the “it” that I am talking about because you are in it, too. While the holidays are wonderful, none of it would happen, if it wasn’t for us holiday movers and shakers. All of the stress and festivities can wreak havoc on our bodies. So, last week I made a call to The Juice Philly to restart my Juice Membership asap. The Juice Membership is one of the unique offerings available at The Juice Philly. And I need it right about now!
The Fitness Finds Holiday Gift Guide for the Guys
Let’s jump right on in with the guys. I’ll be honest, the guy stuff doesn’t usually excite me in the same way as those fitness fashions do for us. I actually totally neglected a guy’s holiday list last year. But this list is really doing it for me. I’d get it all if my husband didn’t already own (and love) half of the items on here. But don’t worry, he’ll be getting the other half this holiday season.
The Holiday Gift Guide for the Woman Who Does It All and Looks Damn Good Doing It
All year long I talk about taking care of yourself. Putting yourself first so that you can be the best wife, the best mom, the best daughter, the best employee, the best boss babe, the best teacher, the best student, the best anything and everything. And to that extent, you all deserve the world during the holidays… or at the very least, a cute outfit. So pass this holiday gift guide off to your favorite gift giver to be sure to get something you actually want, you’ll actually use, and what you most definitely deserve this holiday season.

The Collaboration that Runners Didn’t Know They Needed Until Now
It’s been a month since the Chicago Marathon. The New York Marathon was last weekend. And the Philadelphia Marathon is one week away. So it makes sense that I post some special running clothes right about now. Whether you run a marathon or are just enjoying the most perfect fall running (or walking) weather, this collaboration is something you will want to know about. And it’s no accident that the collection was released just before the holidays. These clothes will make the runner in your life do a victory dance if they are found under the tree next month.
Activewear That Does More Than Just Look Cute
You know that I am an activewear girl all the way. Give me a great pair of leggings that I can live in, and I don’t need much more in life! But when activewear has a purpose beyond just looking cute and being comfortable, it almost seems too good to be true. So is it?
You Can Get Stronger Thru Cancer Thanks to Priscilla Fitzpatrick
October is breast cancer awareness month and it’s a good time to sit with the fact that one in eight women will be diagnosed with this illness in their lifetime. So what can you do to combat those numbers? Schedule your mammogram every year. Another weapon to help prevent a cancer diagnosis is movement. And if you have cancer, regular exercise mitigates short and long term side effects of cancer and treatment. But as you can imagine, figuring out where to exercise and what to do while being treated for cancer, is a major challenge. Enter Stronger Thru Cancer, created by Bala Cynwyd resident, cancer survivor and fitness extraordinaire, Priscilla Fitzpatrick.
Will I Run Another Marathon? And Other Burning Questions Answered.
Now that the race is behind me, I have been getting lots of questions since I got back form Chicago. So I wanted to use this post to answer those “burning” questions. I hope to also give you some insight into what running 26.2 miles was actually like. And ultimately, I hope that these answers might push someone a little closer to tackling a goal that’s been nagging at them.
Onesie, Two-sie, Three-sie, Let’s Go-sie!
If you would have told me that I would be rocking a onesie a few years ago, I would have literally laughed out loud. A onesie was something for a smushy baby, not a grown woman! But, since I decided to embrace all fitness fashion a few years ago when I started this blog, it was time to allow the onesie to enter the scene. And yeah, guys, onesies are not just for babes (the small ones). Onesies are for babes, too (the hot ones, meaning YOU!).
Marathon Training Check In: Marathon Weekend is Here (reflections from the airplane on the way to Chicago)
Welp, I am writing from my crammed airplane seat on my way to Chicago for the 44th Chicago Marathon! These are my reflections on marathon training as I am on the way to my first marathon’s destination.
